Hi, is me; Rochelle again, posting great learning materials
for your interest. This time, talking about the “Theory of Multiple
Intelligences”, so read below:
Howard Gardner proposed the Theory of Multiple Intelligences
in his book titled “Frames of Mind” in 1983. This theory tells us that students
learn in different ways. If new material is presented in variety of formats,
more students will likely learn and be able to demonstrate proficiency with the
new material.
This theory states that a person has many different ways of
acquiring and demonstrating intelligence. Some people remember just about
anything if learned to the tune of a jingle or chant, while someone else may be
able to grasp and idea, concept, or grammatical point if presented as a graph,
chart, or picture.
Gardner
has identified and labeled eight main styles of acquiring and demonstrating
knowledge; those eight intelligences are:
- Verbal/Linguistic
- Visual/Spatial
- Bodily/Kinesthetic
- Logical/Mathematical
- Interpersonal/Social
- Intrapersonal/Introspective
- Musical/Rhythmic
- Naturalist
Now, the question is asks yourself, how do you learn?
I hope you encounter this information interesting for your
learning activities and do better each day.
Thank you for your attentive attention.
Until the next post,
